Recipe for donuts

Here's a recipe for classic glazed donuts that you can try:

Ingredients:

2 1/4 teaspoons (one packet) active dry yeast 1/4 cup warm water 3/4 cup lukewarm milk 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 egg 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened 3 cups all-purpose flour Vegetable oil, for frying For the glaze:

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar 3-4 tablespoons milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Instructions:

In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm water and set aside for 5 minutes until foamy. In a large mixing bowl, combine the lukewarm milk, sugar, salt, egg, and softened butter. Mix well. Add the yeast mixture to the mixing bowl and stir to combine. Gradually add the flour to the mixing bowl, stirring until a soft dough forms. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-10 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, until doubled in size. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut out donut shapes using a donut cutter or two different sized round cutters. Heat vegetable oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 375°F. Carefully drop the donuts into the hot oil, frying for about 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the donuts from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. To make the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth. Dip each donut in the glaze, turning to coat both sides. Place the glazed donuts on a wire rack to set, and enjoy!

I hope you enjoy making and eating these delicious glazed donuts!
