Base App, is this really worthy of a Creator and aligned with your principles?
As far as I know, one of the main slogans of Base App is: “The Creator will be rewarded.”
Yesterday the weekly rewards were distributed, and in the top list I found a very interesting account (Raacun) that earned over $620 and made it into the top 10
I opened the profile and saw this: 0 likes, 0 comments on every post, plus more than five daily posts with political news.
When I checked the account again today, I noticed some strange engagement spikes - one post has 100 likes, another has 0, and so on
To me, this doesn’t look like something the Base team stands for. This clearly looks like botted, artificial engagement.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not discrediting the person’s content. Even simple GM or GN posts can have real soul behind them. But here it’s obvious: boosted metrics and robotic activity. And how many more accounts like this are hiding in the Top?
What I see is unfairness and a potential threat to all creators in the future. The algorithms seem off, and in the long run this could seriously harm both the Base ecosystem and the creators who saw this app as a ray of hope.
I’ll also be honest: a week ago I suggested to my Telegram followers that we make a small engagement group. I’ve seen influencers on X do the same - they help each other at the start of each post so it reaches more people. And if the content is truly interesting, the post takes off naturally. For the record, none of us ended up in recommendations, so clearly we need to work harder. But is something like this allowed on Base App?
So here are the main questions:
> What should we Creators do? Who is considered a Creator for Base?
> Will you fix the algorithms and take any measures moving forward?
> Is it allowed to form groups for an initial engagement boost, without robotic activity, the way many X influencers do?

Base App's Creator rewards draw scrutiny after Raacun earns $620+ in the top list despite zero engagement on early posts, while later posts show uneven boosts. Questions arise about algorithm fairness, creator definitions, and whether engagement groups are allowed. @hopscup.base.eth
