"MachiBigBrother" Huang Licheng (MachiBigBrother) is suing on-chain detective ZachXBT. ZachXBT issued a document last year claiming that Huang Licheng embezzled 22,000 ETH project funds. In the lawsuit, filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, Huang's attorneys accused ZachXBT of defaming Huang and causing him "serious reputational and monetary damages." At the most recent consensus meeting of ethereum core developers on Friday, Michael Neuder, an Ethereum Foundation researcher and leading proponent of the proposed change, proposed increasing the maximum validator balance per validator from 32 ETH to 2,048 ETH. While the current (32 ETH) validator cap promotes decentralization, it inadvertently leads to validator set size inflation, he said. Neuder said raising the cap could slow the expansion of the active validator set — ultimately increasing the network’s efficiency in achieving finality within a single ethereum slot. The proposed increased cap will also introduce the possibility of automatically compounding validator rewards.
