Today, we're going to be discussing the bonus system for resources on islands in our game. We've received many inquiries regarding this topic, and we want to clear things up and provide a more organized system for our players.
Firstly, it's important to note that all plant crops (coconuts🥥, lemons 🍋, wheat 🌾, cotton 👕, sugar cane 🍾, and tobacco 🚬) as well as fish 🐟 can be grown and fished on each island. Wild animals 🦌, on the other hand, are only found on L and XL islands. These resources provide bonuses that result in much more efficiency (e.g. x2, x3), and we're currently balancing the game economy to decide on the exact values for these bonuses.
Values presented next to individual resources indicate the number of hexes that provide the bonus. For example, 🥥 +5 coconut means that a plot of four hexes and one hex (five hexes total) will provide the Coconut Production Bonus.
When it comes to fossil resources (clay, stone, coal, saltpeter, sulphur, and ores like iron, copper, tin, and lead, as well as gold), they can only be mined on the island where they're found. Mining resources are only found on single-hex plots. For instance, 🧱 +3 clay means that clay can only be mined on three single plots.
Furthermore, the Arrlandum bushes are also limited to specific plots on the island. Arrlandum can only be obtained on plots that contain these bushes. Therefore, 🫐 +1 Arrlandum means that there is one plot on the island where Arrlandum can be harvested.
