So how does all of this work, then? It couldn't be simpler. Once you've connected your wallet to your MetaMask Portfolio, head on over to the Games tab and find a game you like the look of. Selecting one will direct you back to HyperPlay, where you can download it and start playing.

MetaMask is the world’s leading self-custodial wallet, and this initial integration with HyperPlay will enhance the visibility of the imaginative, innovative and infuriatingly addictive titles in our game store from the future.

It's also good news for the hard-working developers who have sought to lead the way in offering a compelling alternative to Web2 games where centralization is the norm — and players are prohibited from owning their in-game assets. For too long, talented creatives have had to contend with punishingly high commission fees when their creations list on major app stores like Apple and Steam.
