前面我们有讲到不同钱包的使用方法，和如何访问Dapp。对于经常访问Dapp和使用DeFi应用的人们来说，若想在DeFi协议上使用代币，‘’代币授权‘’是经常性的步骤。什么是代币授权？以太坊链、EVM链（BSC/HECO/OKExChain/Polygon等）和波场链上的Dapp大都涉及到合约操作，授权即表示允许该合约地址提取用户的代币。Dapp需要访问代币才能需要对其操作。比如你想在uniswap卖掉WBTC，则需要‘’Approve‘’ Uniswap的智能合约访问你钱包内WBTC的权限，然后才能通过第二笔交易把WBTC转换成其他代币。在钱包上面，你可以看到该授权。为了提升用户体验，减少授权次数，Dapp会要求无限授权，即该智能合约有权对钱包内的某个币种有不限量的转移权限。对于靠谱的知名平台，如uniswap等，不会恶意操作转移用户的钱包资产。如果该Dapp一开始就是恶意的，则该钱包对于已经授权该平台的所有币种都有极大的安全隐患。即便是成熟的项目，也有可能存在漏洞而被攻击者利用。所以一旦用户给Dapp授权，钱包的该代币就会陷入风险。 虽然硬件钱包可以保护私钥，并且没有人能绕过硬...

In the previous lessons, We talked about an overview of crypto wallets, and the use of imtoken and metamask. The main content of this lecture is the use of hardware wallet - ledger nano X.
Why choose Ledger?
Ledger is a French hardware wallet brand and is currently the largest selling hardware wallet. The product has been verified by the market and safety agencies and is easy to use. Ledger currently has three products, ledger nano S, Ledger nano S plus, and ledger nano X. Ledger nano S can only be connected to a computer and can install apps for up to 3 currencies. The Ledger Nano X can be connected to a computer and a mobile phone via Bluetooth. The storage space is large, and dozens of apps can be installed at the same time. Because Ledger nano X can be connected to mobile phones, it is suitable for users who operate frequently. Ledger Nano S plus is an upgraded version of Ledger nano S. It can also install dozens of apps at the same time, but it cannot be connected to the mobile phone through Bluetooth. Here I recommend users to buy ledger nano S plus or ledger nano X, users can buy on demand.
In order to ensure safety, I only recommend users purchase from the official website, because the authenticity of other dealers cannot be determined. Avoid the loss of assets due to buying fake hardware wallets.

The following is a graphic-based tutorial.
1) According to the instructions, turn on the Ledger Nano X, and press and hold the two buttons on the left and right sides of the Ledger Nano X. After entering the welcome screen, keep pressing the right button and select "Set up as new device". It is recommended to create a new mnemonic for the hardware wallet because the mnemonic of the hardware wallet is generated offline, which can ensure the security of the wallet.
2) Set the PIN code. Press the left key to decrease the number; press the right key to increase the number; press the left and right keys at the same time to confirm the number. The shortest PIN code is 4 digits and the longest is 8 digits. The first setup has to be entered twice. In the future, you will need to enter the PIN code every time you turn on the Ledger Nano X, so be sure to save the PIN code.
3) Set and record the mnemonic. Make sure to write down the mnemonic generated by Ledger Nano X on the mnemonic paper, there are 24 mnemonics in total, so this step is very important to ensure that each mnemonic is written down correctly. For the protection of mnemonic words, we have mentioned in the previous lessons.
4) Verify the mnemonic. According to the screen display, verify the mnemonic one by one to avoid recording wrong words. At this point, ledger nano X has been set up.
5) Connect Ledger Live.

Go to the official website to download and install Ledger Live, then connect the Nano X with a cable. In order to ensure the security of the hardware wallet, Ledger will check the genuine of the hardware wallet when connecting to the computer to avoid tampering.
6) Install apps.
Open the above App, click "Manager", and after connecting to the device, you can see the apps that can be installed. . Once installed, you can add accounts and send and receive the crypto.
7) Send and receive crypto
Every time Ledger sends and receives cryptos, it will send the confirmation message to the hardware wallet. Only when Allow is selected in the hardware wallet will the receiving address and the assets be displayed.

Before you start
Update Ledger Live to the latest version via this link.
Open Ledger Live and connect your Ledger device to the manager to ensure that your Ledger device is running the latest firmware version.
Ensure that the latest version of the Ethereum (ETH) app is installed on your Ledger device.
Once you're all done, close Ledger Live as it can conflict with Metamask.
Steps:
Download and install the MetaMask extension in your browser by following these steps. We strongly recommend using the Chrome or Firefox browsers.
Open MetaMask and create a regular MetaMask account as shown in this video. In the next steps, you will add a second account to MetaMask: your Ledger Ethereum (ETH) account.
Once you're all set up, open MetaMask in your browser, click on the three dots icon and select Expand view. MetaMask opens in a tab that is easier to navigate.
Plug your Ledger device into your computer and open the Ethereum (ETH) app on your Ledger device by navigating to the Ethereum icon and pressing both buttons simultaneously. Your Ledger device displays the Application is ready.

Your ledger has been connected to metamask, and you can also connect your wallet to various Dapps through metamask.
