I have been on a streak of vlogging for about a month now, and it has been quite entertaining, entertaining to me as well as the few viewers. The whole point of vlogging is that you are not telling people how you feel, you are simply sharing the things you do on your own time. You are sharing what you like, what you do on your own time in your own way, and you share it all without asking for anything in return.
In fact, there are so many personal benefits that you don’t even realize it yourself until you start doing it. Let’s break some of them down:
You might be surprised at how much confidence it gives you and how much it helps with public speaking. My advice would be to start small — for example, if your goal is to get a summer body or start a small business, just record yourself every day talking about what progress you made and save the videos to your camera roll. The more often you do this the less likely you will be to stop because every time you go in your camera roll you will see your previous vlogs and would be more motivated to keep it going as compared to eventually deleting your previous vlogs.
As you make your way through the day, it’s easy to lose focus on what really matters. You might start a long-term project but find yourself doing something else entirely after a few minutes. When this happens, vlogging can help you stay accountable for your goals and focus on them until they’re accomplished.
Vlogging is also a great way to keep yourself motivated when you’re feeling discouraged or burned out by life. When we take time to reflect and share our thoughts, we often find new ways of looking at things that help us gain perspective and better understand our situation. This helps us stay positive about our goals even when they seem too far away or impossible.
When you’re a vlogger, you get to practice public speaking in front of a camera. You can do this with or without an audience — just think about the difference between standing in front of the mirror and trying out new things versus going on stage and performing for hundreds or thousands of people. There is none.
By starting small, learning how to be yourself while talking about something interesting (or even boring), and then moving on to bigger projects where there are more people watching — this all helps improve verbal communication skills over time.
It’s also important to note that as your audience grows, so does your confidence as a speaker! It doesn’t matter if it’s just one person or none watching; once you start getting comfortable with being yourself in front of the camera, there will be less pressure when there are more people watching.
When you vlog, you are able to share your story with the world. You can share your story with a community by posting on social media. You can share your story with a group of friends by making a video in and sharing it with them. You can share your story with your family when they see how much fun they can have while doing something that they love together, such as going out on an adventure or playing games together at home!
You also get to learn about other people’s stories through watching their vlogs. This will help you gain new perspectives on things in life that could impact how you view situations or make decisions in the future!
You can also use your vlogs to help others. You might be able to help someone who is going through a tough time with their mental health by sharing your own story and letting them know that they are not alone in what they are experiencing. You could also share tips about how you cope with certain aspects of life, such as stress management or healthy eating habits!
For myself, I just keep the videos in my camera roll and move them onto a flash drive every week. However, you have many options such as creating a private Instagram/Tiktok/Youtube and uploading the posts there. You can also create a website for yourself easily on WordPress.
If you think about the things that motivate people to start vlogging, this list may seem like a strange one. But when you consider what goes on mentally when creating vlogs, there are more benefits than just producing content. Vlogging offers an opportunity for self-expression and creativity as well as personal growth. Give it a try today!
