‘New Era’ is upbeat and bouncy, showing the excitement of growing into one’s character and work. The song closes out by slowing down to reflect on turning the page and leaving the old her behind.

Madalen is a Canadian singer and songwriter who started writing her own music at 13. She’s been making music ever since and racked up over a million plays on multiple tracks on Spotify.
Eventually, she gained full control over her music and released her EP ‘Talking to Myself’ where she was able to find her own voice and authentic self.
She’s since gone down a similar road by getting involved in web3 music. Most notably, she is part of the LNRZ freshman class, an uber-talented group of artists who participated in a writing camp in Joshua Tree to release the SATELLITES EP, which also dropped today.
Madalen is well on her way as a notable artist in music NFTs, both as a member of one of the biggest music collectives in web3 and an independent musician. She brings punchy vocals and a rebellious vibe to all her music that make her stand out in the space.
‘New Era’ is being released on Sound at the same time as DSPs, speaking to a possible new future for music where tracks that are discovered and consumed can also become collectibles as NFTs.
Madalen’s approach to the release of the song relates to a topic of discussion within the music NFT community about allowing fans to listen to the music before enabling collecting. A drop strategy as such allows an artist’s existing collector base to continue supporting them while also bringing in newcomers who discover the music.
