Curation is at the heart of Invest in Music.

It is the core mission and driver of what we do, and believe it is fundamentally important to the long-term success of onchain music.

Fresh off our Quarterly Report and Community Call - it’s evident that our community wants more ways to meet one another and discover new music.

To this end - we’re excited to announce Onchain Curator, an Optimism grant-funded program to reward the top curators of onchain music in the Invest in Music community.

We’re allocating 5000 OP over the course of 5 months to curators that participate in the program.

Here’s how it works.

Each month we will distribute 1000 OP across 4 unique curators:

• Mints - Number of referrals across all songs (200 OP)

• Volume - Total ETH across all referrals (300 OP)

• Artists - Unique number of artists referred (300 OP)

• Content - Best content as voted on by the community (200 OP)

To be eligible for Onchain Curator - you must hold an Invest in Music Pass and join the collector chat.

This is where you will find the eligibility form - simply confirming the primary address you would like to track your curation data from.

Curators must opt-in to be included in the program.

The collector chat is where we will announce the winners each month, and where you can keep up with your fellow curators.

All eligible songs must be minted directly on Optimism. The first cycle will start on September 1st and reset on the 1st of every month thereafter.

To qualify for curation rewards, simply share your referral link for any song minted on Sound on Optimism.

This will allow you to earn 5% of any mints and put you in the race to win an additional OP bonus.

Invest in Music will track curation data using this curator tool - allowing us to track this data directly onchain.

We’ll be learning and iterating on the program along the way. Please be patient as we find the best way to tie all the data together!

At Invest in Music - our goal is to turn fans into collectors.

And what better way to do this than to reward the curators that are helping drive a new wave of collectors?

We want to foster a community for artists and collectors who are passionate about onchain music and create an ongoing dialog about the best way to drive mints and bring attention to new artists.

We hope that this grant program can demonstrate the market potential of onchain music - and help the ecosystem grow while the curators making it possible are rewarded as well.
