There are moments in time that only later you realize how impactful they are in your life.
Little did oshi know that putting his music on Sound would change things. As the first artist to release on Sound, oshi has been a big part of web3 music’s story from the very beginning.
oshi’s latest track “LITTLE DID I KNOW” showcases the talented artist’s versatility as he opens up about a humbling sale last year.

About a year ago, collector @CR41GD purchased oshi’s song “CHILDHOOD” on the secondary market for 8 ETH. At the time this marked the highest ever secondary sale of a song on Sound.
With “CHILDHOOD” being the first song to be released on Sound, it holds a level of cultural significance and the sale was warranted. It marked a significant moment for oshi, Sound, artists, and collectors.
“That my art is valued outside of just me creating it,” oshi stated in the song description. “It was strange and surreal, but incredibly humbling to feel such love for my art.”
oshi added, “I had told Craig that I would make a song dedicated to the moment and include the feelings I felt at that time. Although times change, and this moment is filled with stresses and obstacles, it is nice to look back at that moment and know that times like that will come again.”
oshi is an artist who has been a pioneer in many regards.
I remember his prevalence as a teenager making waves via SoundCloud. He’s been at the forefront of the music NFT movement and continues to expand his sound.
The UK-bred producer, singer, and songwriter is the full package from crisp sound design, catchy songwriting and infectious vocals. “LITTLE DID I KNOW” puts his skillset on full display with an ever-evolving beat and vulnerable lyrics.
This song revisits a monumental moment for oshi personally, and for the space as a whole. It’s these success stories that onboard more collectors, artists, and gain the attention of the broader industry.
oshi will surely have more moments like these, and it’s nice to hear a song inspired by this humbling sale.
