Year of Self (Fever Dream Version) is the final part of a three-track session that Talk Time recorded at Village Studios in LA.
With layers of acoustic guitars, synths, harmonies, and even an old omnichord, the latest song from the Indie-Pop duo is an evocative and beautiful ballad recorded right after the pandemic ended.
"Hopefully, some of that good vibe comes through in the music, and the songs will help release the feverish anxiety into joyous catharsis," they say on the song's Sound page.
We're excited to share that this is the first song we're featuring via submissions to our email shill@investinmusic.xyz!

Talk Time has been dropping music since the release of their open edition EP player, Necessary Evil, built in partnership with Props last year.
They have also dropped songs on Catalog and a video on Glass.
Their music takes influence from synth and orchestral pop and creates evocative soundscapes to listen to at the crack of dawn.
The set of three songs gathered under the Fever Dream sessions was produced by Darrell Thorp at the legendary Village Studios in LA. Thorp is known for having worked with Radiohead, Beck, and Paul McCartney.
The LA-based band already has a following in web2; they have more than 100K streams on Spotify and have been featured on KCRW, KROQ, and Conan O'Brien.
Talk Time consistently delivers excellent and carefully crafted pop songs with a universal feel.
They are an example of an artist working in web2 and web3 simultaneously, having not only dropped music but also experimented with innovative products like their EP player.
"This is part 3 of a 3-track session we've been rolling out on Sound, and it's the final installment, the first two sold-out editions of 25!" says Mike Nissen.
We like Talk Time's new EP and are excited to listen to their new drops.
