What I would consider the first official year of Music NFTs has come to an end.
Despite the bottom of the bear market, I’m extremely optimistic for what 2023 holds in store.
I’m looking at 2023 the same way I looked at DeFi in 2019.
With all the hype gone and people thinking crypto was dead, the loyal few who remained created a new wave - DeFi Summer - which preceded the most recent bull market.
To be clear - I don’t expect to see any major headwinds in web3 at large for at least another 1-2 years.
However - I do think there will be meaningful breakouts within niche specific markets like Music NFTs.
To this end, I’m kicking off the new year by recommending some great newsletter, podcasts and outlets to follow.
I’m excited for the emergence of a new blog culture - similar to what drove Soundcloud and HypeMachine - but specifically tailored to web3 music.
My biggest goal for this year?
Bring fans to web3 and make collecting fun.
