But that’s changed. Drastically. Today, thanks to AI tools like ChatGPT, Cursor AI, and countless others, the gap between “idea” and “product” is closing fast. The...

Today, I am here to show you the different ways we can find to generate value with our content on both platforms. As the years go by, more people decide to create content on the internet.
In most cases, users reach a certain level where their content reaches a significant quality and audience. In this way, it is logical to want to get financial compensation to reward all the time and effort invested in our personal brand.
With the number of existing social networks, the question arises, which one is convenient?
Today we will focus on Twitter and the Lens protocol (an ecosystem of decentralized networks).
Today we find 3 main ways to monetize:
It is an option that allows us to access a more closed circle of followers of an account. Create a proximity link and access to exclusive content that the creator shares. The prices starts at at $3

Tips are a way to reward your favorite creators for the work they do. There are several options to make payments, including patreon, #Ethereum and #Bitcoin, the latter having the Lightning network.

There is the possibility of making twitter Spaces in a paid way. We can notify a space in advance and sell tickets to be able to attend it.
In this way we can make workshops, private announcements or even courses with our followers.

Of course, there are restrictions too, not all are advantages. Twitter at the end of the day is a company that provides its service to us, so they can decide the rules. Remember, they are centralized.
Some of the limitations:
10K followers for superFollow and being from USA
3 Spaces and +1k followers for paid spaces
Election process by twitter
Now, this is the end of the possibilities that twitter grants.
It's time to talk about LensProtocol and the way the revolution the monetization system on internet and social medias.
It’s important to mention that all the options that we will name do NOT have restrictions. In Web3 there is no discrimination, everyone has free access to the ecosystem.
Yes, same options as Twitter. The difference is that we can choose the amount ourselves, it is not an already established price.
Not only that, but we have the freedom to choose the crypto with which our followers will pay and the address where we will receive it.
We can play around on how to implement the follow modules.

The collect option allows followers to collect a post. Let's remember that each post in Lens is an NFT, so you will have a memory of that post forever.
It is a great feature since in exchange for "donations" we are returning "value".
Donations, selling art, giveaways, supporting creators, options are endless on how to use collect modules. Let your creativity fly!

Each app can implement the blockchain technology and tools of the Lens ecosystem as they want. This allows dApps to be created where creators can offer their services in exchange for assets.
An example is Coconnect. Here you can interact with different Lens profiles and hire them for video content or maybe writing a thread.

Lens offers us more freedom to create different forms of monetization than Twitter, and in an open way for all users. Not only this but we have infinite options on how to implement their tools.
Twitter, on the other hand, presents us with an already outlined and easily accessible product with clear rules.
Do you use any of these? Let me know in the comments!
