Yesterday, I decided that my blogging career should come to an end. I was doing myself a disservice. I told myself that the goal of the posts was to dig deeper, peel back the layers, get down to the core. Every day for the past month, I’ve had a coffee date with AI. I literally sit down, with a cup of coffee, with an appointment on my calendar that says “coffee with AI”. Just not now.
And probably not on the timeframe you think.
And DEFINITELY not how you think.
I’ve been going deep into Quantum Computing recently. Also AI. Before that, crypto, and social media, and the Internet.
At this point, the patterns start to emerge.
They are almost characters in the play.
The big visionary.
The skeptic.
The iterativist.
The fraudster.
The academic.
And the scenes play out in the same order.
But that doesn’t mean it’s not a thing.
It’s one thing (and it’s not easy) to see a big wave coming and figure out when to start riding it (or even preparing to ride it).
It’s another thing to see the patterns of the waves.
And it’s really amazing when you can get an idea of when and how they will make landfall.
Just not now.
And probably not on the timeframe you think.
And DEFINITELY not how you think.
