The summary and promotion meeting of China Resources Health rural public welfare project with the theme of “Empowering grass-roots medical care to help rural revitalization” was held in Beijing on September 17. Relevant leaders of the grass-roots health department of the National Health Commission, China Women’s development foundation and China Resources pharmaceutical group attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Representatives of project experts, aid hospitals and recipient hospitals spoke respectively.

In order to actively respond to the strategic deployment of the party and the state on healthy China Construction and rural revitalization, further improve the medical conditions and environment of grass-roots people, strengthen health services for key groups, and improve maternal and child health, in September 2020, China Women’s development foundation and China Resources Pharmaceutical Group jointly launched China Resources healthy rural public welfare project. Over the past year, the project has kept in mind the mission of “improving the level of primary medical services and making rural people live a healthy life”, focused on the needs of primary medical care, continued to polish the project model, and initially formed the strategic objectives of “five ones”, that is, to establish an expert training team to guide primary doctors, develop a set of rural doctor training curriculum system suitable for primary doctors, and build an interconnected sustainable learning platform Create a series of practical technical training modes for rural doctors and explore a set of “one help and one” assistance mode for county-level hospitals. The project covers the old revolutionary base areas, ethnic minority areas and remote areas such as Yunnan, Ningxia, Guizhou, Shaanxi and Fujian. The explored grass-roots health capacity-building and service demonstration system of county, township and village linkage and national, provincial, county and rural assistance has achieved initial results. So far, 167 online trainings have been carried out, 7 times of remote guidance, 4 offline trainings, 11 clinics have been built, and more than 2 million grass-roots doctors have benefited.

Zhen Yan, former vice president of the all China Women’s Federation, Secretary of the Secretariat and President of the China Women’s development foundation, fully affirmed the results of the project. She pointed out that the implementation of the project made the rural people feel the warmth of the party and the care of the society, and made the people personally feel the superiority of the socialist system. Based on the opening year of the 14th five year plan, this paper puts forward five suggestions for the next development of the project, that is, to adhere to scientific and rigorous, pragmatic and efficient, professional authority, brand building and risk prevention and control. It is hoped that the project will leave a strong mark in the history of Rural Revitalization and healthy China Construction in the future.

Xu Wei, director of the family doctor Department of the grass-roots health department of the National Health Commission, said he hoped that the project would design the project content, plan the project development and make greater contributions to the construction of healthy villages according to the overall goal of strengthening the construction of rural doctors and the outline of the grass-roots health talent training project.

For example, for county-level medical institutions, focus on improving the level of specialized diagnosis and treatment, which is an effective means of” not leaving the county for serious diseases “; For rural grass-roots medical institutions, we will focus on improving the service level of common diseases, chronic diseases and traditional Chinese medicine physiotherapy, and strive to achieve “no small diseases out of the village”, so that more and more grass-roots doctors can master more medical technologies and benefit more local people. “

In addition, the project also awarded the honor of 10 excellent village medical staff, and encouraged the village medical staff with excellent achievements to continue their efforts to be a good gatekeeper for the health of rural people. Wang Beibei, the representative of excellent village medical staff, said, “The project has not only added a lot of practical medical equipment for us, but also conducted free training and learning. Online teaching, face-to-face teaching and hand-in-hand teaching have enabled us rural doctors to systematically learn a lot of practical technologies. Now I have mastered the appropriate technologies of traditional Chinese medicine such as acupuncture, moxibustion and massage, and can safely and boldly devote myself to the work of serving the majority of villagers.”

At the promotion meeting, the public welfare song MV - “green wings” of China Resources Health rural public welfare project was performed.
