Some days the words come quick, and on other days it takes until night to put the right words together.

While poetry comes easier, prose helps flesh out more immediately the stories and narratives from my streams of consciousness.

But perfection is not the goal, and more often that not it hinders the completion of good work. The immediate goal in writing is free flow of personal expression.

And that goal of free flowing personal expression must also ride with the tides of friction that result from self doubt, droughts in motivation, and sometimes - lethargy.

Internal pressure to deliver consistent content begins from oneself. It can, and should, be transmuted into action that refines every work of art produced.

And in showing up to start/restart everyday and get the work done, that remains a step closer to continually perfecting the creative process.
