How do you find peace in a war between blockchains?
After curiously opening my first blockchain wallet and buying my first cryptocurrencies - I became disillusioned with the ‘mooning’ narrative. The price fluctuations were not slowing down, and my participation seemed to me superficial, in comparison to those coding and building the tools I was using. I wanted to know more.
In some way I cannot remember, I came across the Bankless community and became very interested in the idea of going bankless - especially with the idea of understanding the core concepts of the Bankless skill cube as a means of progressively deepening one’s involvement in decentralised finance.
And then, from a coffee-shop meet up following a music jam session with acquaintances, I found myself making new friends and discussing world domination through Cardano NFTs - then delving into whitepaper research, networking and more coffee-shop meet ups.
Then I learnt about the ETH-ADA-SOL-LUNA-AVAX-DOT-MATIC tweet wars; the better coin, the faster TPS, the less toxic community, the more valuable chain, the FUDsters, the FOMOists…etc, and that confused the hell out of me.
I guess between DAO workings and ETH-ADA learnings, I have not had the time to understand why crypto communities seemingly fight each other, especially when governments and law makers are looking for ways to regulate and control the space. So to find my own peace, I decided to piece together what I’ve learnt into poetry.
