A volcano is a hole, cracks in the earth's crust from which gases and molten rocks can escape, eventually turning into a mountain. This happens because the surface of the planet consists of lithospheric plates floating on magma that reaches temperatures up to 1000 degrees. So, because of the movements of these plates, magma chambers emerge from volcanoes and earthquakes also occur.
