I must clarify that I have no business or work relationship with the Airstack project and that I am making this tutorial with the sole purpose of informing my way of understanding things and disclaiming responsibility to the project for any error in my perception or any poorly presented concept.
Having said this and being clear, we continue.
The Far Score (formerly known as Social Capital Score) is a metric that measures the relative influence of members within the Farcaster network. Here are some key points:
1. Far Score (SCS): Each Farcaster member earns a Far Score based on their influence in the network. This score is dynamic and always increases; there are no negative factors affecting it.
2. Cast Score (SCV): Every post or response on Farcaster receives a Cast Score based on the Far Scores of users who interact with the content and the type of interaction.
3. Far Rank (SCR): Airstack also publishes the Far Rank for each member, ranking all members from 1 to N based on their Far Scores. The member with rank 1 has the highest Far Score, rank 2 has the second-highest Far Score, and so on.
To increase your Far Score on Airstack, consider the following:
- Active Participation: Post relevant and helpful content on Farcaster and engage with other members' posts.
- Interact with Others: Comment, share, and like other members' posts. The more you engage, the greater your influence.
- Build Connections: Expand your network by connecting with other members and participating in meaningful conversations.
you can fetch it using the Airstack APIs. The Far Score (SCS) reflects your relative influence within the Farcaster network (formerly known as the "Social Capital Score"). It's dynamic, constantly updating, and always increasing—there are no negative factors affecting it Additionally, Airstack publishes the Far Rank for each Farcaster member, ranking all members from 1 to N based on their Far Scores. The member with rank 1 has the highest Far Score, rank 2 has the second-highest, and so on.
An easy and quick way to see your own Far Score or any profile is to go to www.airstack.xyz then on the right side where it says users we are going to place the username of the person we want to consult as shown in the image (It is not necessary to log in to verify this information)

Far Score isn't solely based on the quantity of interactions (likes, comments, etc.) you receive. It also considers the quality and relevance of those interactions. For instance, a detailed and helpful response to a post can have a greater impact on your Far Score than several superficial "likes." So, in addition to being active, focus on the quality of your interactions!
AI hope I have clarified some of your doubts about the Far Score and how to get a better score.
