curated by Lauren McDonagh-Pereira (@LAMPPhotography)

Welcome to week 7 of the Tezos Tuesday Community Showcase on NFTARTWITHLAUREN.COM!

Each week, I reach out to the amazing Tezos artist community on Twitter to bring you the latest NFT pieces to highlight the diverse and wonderful art that has been minted on my favorite blockchain.

Thank you to each artist who participated in this week's thread!

This post represents my personal opinions and is NOT financial advice.

Tezos Tuesday Community Showcase - February 21, 2023

25. "Ambleside Autumn" by J_Ham_Ko (@JHamKo7)

J_Ham_Ko's gorgeous piece of digital art has taken a natural scene and turned it into a surreal wonder.

I can feel the texture in this image, just by looking at it. An impressive feat for an entirely digital work.

24. "Backlit" by Sophantopati (@topatiers)

Sophantopati's black-and-white train station scene creates a story in my mind.

Where is this man traveling to? Why does he walk alone through a usually, crowded location? What adventures will he encounter on his journey?

23. "Fractured: When We Listen to Negative Voices in our Head" by Tucco (@drcc_art)

Tucco's surreal style communicates the complicated feelings of someone who feels as though they are falling apart.

To an outsider, a person suffering from depression or OCD may look intact, but internally, they are being torn apart by negative thoughts and emotions.

Tucco's dream-like piece expresses this reality, which is often difficult for people to explain to others.

22. "Newpaper Man" by Shankour (@Shak0uram)

Shankour created this piece with charcoal and pastel on newspaper.

I am drawn to the look of concern in the man's eyes.

Since the pandemic, I have limited my intake of news, because there never seems to be any information that isn't something awful happening somewhere.

I do not envy this man as he scans the newspaper for any sign of good in the world.

21. "Analysis" by BurntSoup (@burnttsoup)

This dizzying piece pulls me in and invites me to get lost in its depths.

20. "Minimal 09" by Cromwell (@Cromwellvzla)

Cromwell's minimalist architectural piece is a delight to explore.

I get MC Escher vibes as I try to figure out where one wall ends and another begins.

post image

19. "Sunflower" by Anna Asatryan (@Anna_Asatryam68)

Anna's image is a joyful portrait of innocence.

The young girl is enjoying a summer's day. I feel nostalgic and peaceful when I look at this image.

18. "Silence" by Nc (@Nczargar)

Using only ink and cardboard, NC was able to create an expressive portrait.

17. "Dreamy City Blues" by Frederick Schultz (@AustraliaShultz)

There is depth in Fred's simplified city scape.

I enjoy the use of different shades of blue to depict an entire skyline.

post image

16. "Alley. Green Gothic" by Leonid Polotsky (@Leoneeds77P)

Leonids beautiful oil painting transports me to a warm walk on a summer's day.

It reminds me of a garden in Italy. I can almost smell the air of the countryside as my eyes wander down this path.

15. "Jack & Sally - Simply Meant to Be" by Lee McCarthy (@LeeMcCarthyArt)

Lee's acrylic painting is romantic and nostalgic.

I love the nod to the romance in "A Nightmare Before Christmas". This piece is an excellent tribute to the enduring cultural relevance of that film.

14. "Aroma of Fragrant Herbs" by Nina (@nina_asur)

I love Nina's colorful painting.

As I write this on March 14, 2023, snow has been falling all day and night. My world is cold and white.

Nina's piece reminds me that the bold colors and scents of spring are not gone forever. They will be here soon.

13. "Black or White" by _HighlyMelanated (@principaraiso)

_HighlyMelanated creates amazing architectural photography.

She captures the shapes and details of structures so beautifully.

12. "Flower Lady" by MrHumble (@Mr_Humble19)

MrHumble minted this intriguing piece of digital art to support #TezQuakeAid.

I enjoy the varied opacity of the flowers decorating the image of the woman.

11. Drawings by Tz (@Teherezdg)

Tz's style of building images out of scribbles ignites my imagination.

I am impressed by her ability to create art out of chaos.

post image

10. "Lala" by Mali Art (@MaliShirazian)

Mali's piece has a magical feel. I love the use of only three colors and circles to build a portrait.

post image

9. "Bud of Friendship" by Munachimso (@Treasures_ink)

I love this portrait by Munachimso. The joy on these three boys' faces radiates through.

post image

8. "Angel of Death" by Jolene Casko (@jolenecasko)

"Angel of Death" is such an interesting piece. I love the delicate Renaissance-style angel body with the macabre skull and the rainbow collage background.

The mix of styles and colors is completely delightful.

7. "Wonderful Nature" by Sunzilla (@Sunzilla01)

Sunzilla's digital illustration is super adorable.

I can envision a print of this piece decorating a nursery wall.

post image

6. "Soldier of Fortune" by Ata (@ata_maniei)

Ata's portrait has such a timeless feel. The film grain, the model's outfit, and the furniture could fit in anywhere in the last 50 years.

post image

5. "Passing By" by Joe (@theduckwasblind)

Joe's photograph has so many layers of interest. I love that my eye is drawn into the building by the window light and the house plant, and I love that I am reminded of the the outside world by the reflection of the cab in the glass of the door.

4. "F. Chopin. Etude, Op. 10, No, 3" played by Morteza Hosseinloy (@Morteza1999)

I love the idea of music NFTs. The blockchain is capable of sharing so many different styles of art.

Mortezza's performance is a wonderful example of the ability of Tezos to empower artists of all mediums.

3. "One Soul" by 16 (@Josh_IK)

"One Soul" depicts the bond shared between humans and animals.

We may be different species, and lead different lives, but we are all descended from the same spark of life.

post image

2. "Gazing" by Tatiana Eremenko (@FetishYourBody)

Tatiana is a master of capturing light.

The gentle flow of light and shadows in this piece greatly enhances the romance of the composition.

1. "The Bride" by Neda Tavallaee (@NTavallaee)

I am in love with this piece. The woman's delicate pose, the obscured reflection, the patterns, and colors work together to create an otherworldly masterpiece.

Every time I look at it, I discover new details that capture my eye and my imagination.
