Tiny Bytes: RSA
tldr RSA works by exploiting the fact we can’t easily factor 2 large prime numbers and group theory to make a trapdoor permutation, aka a function that turns x into y but y can’t easily be turned into x without a secret. However, implementing RSA gets tricky because there’s lots of subtle attacks.MathRSA takes advantage of the group Z^*_{n} (multiplicative group of integers modulo n). This is the non-negative integers less than n that have an inverse modulo n. 1 x 1 mod n = 1. 0 x int = 0 so ...

Hi, Did much more writing on RSA. Will finish soon. Bye, Lucas

Hio,
Wanted to quickly reflect. I haven’t been writing as much in the last 2 weeks. I’ve been out of state with family so that makes sense. I have had some good, longer writing sessions and some great reasons to cut things short.
Some takeaways:
There is a habit now of DO SOMETHING each day which I’m happy about
When I do some research I am good at getting information down. However, if I do too much research it can be hard to jot down everything I want to remember. It may be better to split posts (e.g., I wrote part of the MAC post then did a quick one bc it took too long -- still good bc I wrote a long post about MACs and answered questions). It may also be good to cut research short. It might also be good to write down lots of questions I have that I can explore bc it solidifies what I can look at.
TLDR I need to find a good way to get research time in. I set new time up for reading or say the reading allows me to do an ultra small post.
I really just need to start on ideas. I liked my post about influence magic. I didn’t mean to try out something different or write about story. I thought I’d need to do more research. But just writing and having fun got ideas flowing.
I should try this out more with world building / stories / privacy. Because I feel like I haven’t written as much about story or privacy recently.
There’s a lot going on and I haven’t been writing as much as I’ve wanted to. I definitely need to be more deliberate about blocking out time. I also think I need to start trying to take care of writing before the last moment of the day. Not sure if it should be a close to wake up thing or afternoon break or something.
I am noticing a connection between what I write and what I talk about. When I finished the MAC post, I was really excited to talk to a friend about it. The dream influencing started out with a talk with the cousins.
I am feeling myself wanting to play around with other formats. I can’t wait to finish researching enough quantum computer to write and edit a high quality post. I kinda want to try out videos and podcasts. I’m most worried about the time. Right now, I feel that I should try those if it really speaks to me, but having anything that allows me to be creative is a good way to move.
I’ve noticed myself wanting to write more and more personal things. When I write, I’m writing what’s on my mind and things I want to write about. It would be cathartic and help my memory. While I feel more comfortable throwing things out on the internet in a place I don’t think other people will ever read, it is still public. I think I should find a private place to journal.
That’s the thoughts everyone! Bye for now.
