Have I distracted you now?
Do you, like me, try and turn off all the noise so you don’t get distracted?
But then you do get distracted, maybe by you thinking about last night’s match, or, in my instance, a loudly meowing cat.
And now you’re in a loop.
Of course, some distractions are good (it’s healthy, surely, to quickly play a 5 min game on your phone if it relaxes you and brings you back to the moment?).
There are countless ways of becoming more productive and more focused. Believe me, I think I have tried them all!
My advice is to prioritise, prioritise and prioritise. If a list works for you, use it. If a calendar works for you, use it. If post-its work, post them!
I am interested here to start a debate / collection of tips on, how to block out unhelpful distractions.
