Roaring 20s is a 'meta painting'. An experiment in the developing relationship of artist and collector, fine art market perseverance, and cryptoart as an idea.

This is an eight-part piece. Each year the new piece is swapped into the metadata replacing the previous. Whoever is holding Roaring 20s in its final phase (2030) receives all 8 parts of the piece in newly minted 1/1s.

Each piece captures significant features of each year in the 2020s boom. It tracks the development of my art style with it.. and uses crypto tech as a form of art expression.

The first piece is a culture collage. XCOPY’s right click save as guy is the prominent piece as he was another prominent figure to embrace cc0 making his piece public domain. 4156’s tussle with Larva Labs over Cryptopunks IP was a huge discussion in the previous year. Cryptoadz added to the conversation, and XCOPY was the hammer.

Alien Doogles (an in house meme turned derivative), buzzed bear hideout (one of the first truly decentralized autonomous orgs I came across), GHXSTS mxse, bebe Cyberkongz, and some groupie art all adorn the piece as well.

This piece signifies the start of the boom, the gold rush on the horizon. Where we said gm to each other every morning (blue bear), and where it became evidently clear to me that I was meant to be a cryptoartist.
