Dear LXDAO community friends! Welcome to our 125th weekly report.
Realgu: Hi everyone, I'm realgu. I currently work as a software developer at a financial institution in Singapore. I'm fluent in English across all skills - listening, speaking, reading, and writing. I previously participated in LXDAO's on-chain narrative learning activity and completed the entire course. Through this activity, I met many friends interested in Ethereum concepts and related topics, which I found particularly fascinating. My interest in Web3 initially came from reading Vitalik's articles - his thoughts on democratic systems and other topics left a deep impression on me. Although I initially thought cryptocurrencies might be mainly speculative, I later discovered that they actually drive new mechanisms for human cooperation and can inspire many innovative ideas. I'm currently learning Web3 development and hope to contribute to LXDAO in the future. I look forward to meeting more like-minded friends here.
Xiaofeilun: Hello everyone, I'm Xiaofeilun. I entered the crypto industry in 2019, initially learning about the field through online searches and research, and gradually developed a strong interest in it. Although I'm not expert in programming technology, my personal thinking style is more oriented towards efficiency and common-sense understanding. In terms of investment, I like to look for projects that can transcend cycles, evaluating their survival value from a long-term perspective. I hope to learn from everyone here and contribute to the team. Although my contributions may not be substantial at present, I hope everyone can be inclusive and provide guidance. Thank you.
Junzhe: Hi everyone, I'm Junzhe, a fresh graduate with four months of work experience, currently working as an Agent developer at a foreign company in Beijing. I learned about LXDAO through a senior colleague, and after joining, I read some related articles and developed a strong interest in this area. Besides this, I've also learned about blockchain development through other channels and read many technical articles. In my four months of work, I've deeply felt that technology serves business, so I hope to find new development opportunities at the business level. Thank you.
Allen: I'm Allen, and I previously worked as a contributor at BanklessDAO with Aaron. After learning about LXDAO through Aaron, I strongly identified with its vision and mission. I've been managing Coindesk Chinese operations since 2018 and have witnessed various phenomena in the crypto space, which makes me particularly appreciate the rare concept of "conscience." My background is in traditional finance, and I transitioned into the blockchain field in 2018. Currently, I'm also involved with the Skylab developer community, providing product design feedback for startups, and have founded a decentralized investment community to introduce investment opportunities to community members. I look forward to having deeper exchanges with everyone and creating value for LXDAO. Nice to meet you all, thank you.
We are delighted to have new friends join the community, congratulations on them officially becoming members of the LXDAO community and obtaining their first Badge!
This month, we have 7 new Buidler card holders: Zoe, Connie, Yu Xing, Wang Xiaoming, Loxia, Xiao Y, and Yiwen. Congratulations!
Once a community member’s contribution reaches 500 contribution points, the Governance Group will automatically initiate a proposal for the issuance of a Buidler Card. Holding an LXDAO Buidler Card grants the holder the right to propose and vote on proposals, as well as access to LXDAO community’s financial, technical, and manpower support!
We cordially invite you to participate in the LXDAO’s weekly meeting at 2:00 a.m. (UTC) every Saturday.

Here, you can grasp the latest progress of various projects and working groups in the community, and learn about recruitment and bounty needs. Meanwhile, we welcome you to introduce yourself in the weekly meeting, which will help you integrate into our community more quickly.
Here are the key discussion topic for this week's LXDAO weekly meeting:
[Coordination of open source incubation】
The governance group has posted a discussion thread on the forum regarding the governance situation between LXDAO and Nantang DAO. Nantang DAO is an organization co-incubated by Nantang Cooperative and LXDAO. Recent differences in governance models have led to reflections on how to manage and coordinate incubated projects. LXDAO's current governance approach for incubated projects is divided into two categories: core protocol projects, which are fully controlled by LXDAO, and collaborative projects, which are jointly managed by LXDAO and external organizations. Nantang DAO plans to achieve complete independence, with its future development and governance to be determined by its core members rather than relying on LXDAO's consensus. This change has raised several discussion points: Should Nantang DAO, as a public welfare organization, be completely independent? How can coordination mechanisms be established to achieve synergy between the two communities? How can initial investments be gradually recovered to ensure sustainability? And how can LXDAO's brand image be maintained while avoiding potential negative impacts from independent brands? Community members are welcome to discuss these issues in depth on the forum.
Ray shared thoughts on Ethereum's future on the forum, referencing Vitalik's recent series of blog posts that emphasized the importance of solo staking in enhancing network decentralization. Currently, Ethereum's staking threshold is relatively high, and many average users cannot afford 32 ETH, often choosing to deposit their ETH with service providers like Lido to receive staking rewards and Liquid Staking Tokens (LST). Additionally, operating nodes presents technical barriers. He proposed lowering the staking threshold (such as allowing participation with 1 ETH), offering risk-free yields and airdrops as incentives, and suggested making staking more accessible to average users through node deployment tutorials, proxy node management, and lightweight node development. He hopes these approaches could also be applied to other blockchain ecosystems.
【Does the LXDAO community need more Defi projects】
Kahn initiated a discussion on the forum, mentioning that the CryptoDCA project has been officially launched. Although it's relatively small in scale, it could potentially lead to the development of more DeFi projects. He outlined possible features including: aggregating current exchanges and DEXs to provide lower prices and zero-fee swap services, as well as limit order functionality based on swaps, allowing users to buy and sell tokens at specified prices. Community members are welcome to share other ideas on the forum.
The latest member recruitment, task bounties, and partner talent recruitment at LXDAO will be presented on the Bounty Board. By following the Bounty Board, you can quickly access detailed job information, including specific requirements, desired qualifications, and incentive mechanisms.
