In the previous article, we covered how to deposit assets into Isolated Markets on Moonwell. Now, let’s explore how to borrow assets using your supplied collateral within these unique lending pools.
What you will find in this article:

What you need:
A connected wallet.
Supplied assets as collateral on the specific Isolated Market.
How to Borrow on Isolated Markets
1)Access the Borrowing menu:
Option A: if you are managing your Isolated Market position, navigate to the “Borrow” tab within the modal.

Option B: from the “Markets” page, locate your supplied Isolated Market. The “Borrow” button will be activated - click on it to proceed.

2)Select borrowing parameters:
Enter the amount you wish to borrow.

Review the details, including the updated Credit Remaining and the impact on your collateral.
3)Confirm and Finalize:
Once the amount is set, confirm the transaction in your wallet.

After the transaction is completed, the borrowed assets will be sent directly to your wallet.

4)Credit Remaining:
Note that the Credit Remaining is exclusive to each Isolated Market and doesn’t affect your borrowing capacity in Core Markets (“usual” lending pools). Regularly check this to manage your position effectively.
By following these steps, you can efficiently borrow assets on Moonwell’s Isolated Markets. This borrowing mechanism offers tailored opportunities while maintaining the stability and security of your investments.
