Withdrawing from Vaults in Moonwell is just as crucial as depositing, ensuring you have control over your assets and yields. In this guide, we’ll talk through the withdrawal process from Moonwell Vaults.
What you will find in this article:

What you need:
Wallet: ensure your wallet is connected to Moonwell.
Open Vault: you need to have an open vault position. To know how to do this, you can read my latest article “Deposit in Moonwell Vaults”.
How to proceed with withdrawal:
1)Access the Vault management page:
Option A: Via Portfolio
Go to the “Portfolio” section.

Locate “Open Positions” to find your active vaults.

Click on the “Withdraw” button next to the vault. Moonwell will redirect you to the Vault management page.
Option B: Via Vaults menu
Click on “Vaults” from the top menu.

Find the vault you wish to withdraw from and click “Deposit”. This action will redirect you to the Vault management page, but you will need to switch the modal drom “Deposit” to “Withdraw”.

💡Note: regardless of the option you choose, both will direct you to the same vault management interface.
2)Specify the withdrawal amount: enter the amount you wish to withdraw or click “MAX” to withdraw your entire balance.

3)Confirm the transaction in your wallet and wait for the process to complete.

4)Once confirmed, your withdrawal will be successful, and the assets will be back in your wallet.

❗️Important: ensure there is sufficient liquidity available in the vault before attempting to withdraw. Withdrawals will only be successful if adequate liquidity exists; otherwise, the transaction will fail- If liquidity is low, you may need to wait until more becomes available, either through new deposits or repayments by borrowers in Morpho Markets.
By following these steps, you can manage your withdrawals effectively, keeping your assets accessible and maximizing your returns from Moonwell vaults.
