The Chapel of Senhor da Pedra is located in Praia de Miramar, parish of Gulpilhares, municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, district of Porto, in Portugal.

History
It was built on a cliff by the sea in 1763.
June 17, 1763, date of foundation of the Chapel of Senhor da Pedra
It is believed that the origin of the cult in the Capela do Senhor da Pedra may have its origin in an ancient pagan cult, of a naturalistic nature, of pre-Christian peoples, whose deities were venerated in full nature, having later been converted to Christianity.
The pilgrimage to Senhor da Pedra is one of the most traditional in both Vila Nova de Gaia and the parish of Gulpilhares. It takes place annually on the beaches of Senhor da Pedra, on the Sunday of the Holy Trinity, and lasts until the following Tuesday.

Characteristics
Features a hexagonal plan. Internally, it has a high altar and two side altarpieces in gilded baroque/rococo style. It also has several religious statues, with emphasis on the image of the crucified Christ.
On each side of the entrance to the Chapel, there is a panel of monochrome blue tiles, with the following inscriptions:
On the left side:
THE PLACE WHERE THIS CHAPEL OF Senhor da Pedra stands is certainly the oldest place of worship in the parish, before the celebration of Christ would have been a pagan altar
On the right side:
THE ORIGIN OF THE POPULATION GROUP OF GULPILHARES GOES BACK TO THE GREATEST ANTIQUE, AS WELL SHOWN BY THE REMARKABLE ARCHAEOLOGICAL SPOIL THAT HAS BEEN FOUND IN THIS REGION
