Between the Carmo and Carmelitas Churches there is a Hidden House... almost no one knows, because it's not that easy to understand. It all started when the Carmo Church was built (1756), which would be built next to the already existing Carmelite Church (1628). It happened that the Vatican did not authorize the construction of a church leaning against another, separated only by a wall, that is how a “house” emerged between the two, the “Hidden House”, 1 meter wide and perhaps the narrowest house of the city of Porto, today it is a visiting point for thousands of people.

Surely many people have passed by and didn't even notice that there is a house there. The house was once inhabited by artists, sacristans... it was once a place for secret meetings during the French Invasions and the Liberal Wars... and since the 1980s it has no longer been inhabited and is now only open to visitors.
With 3 floors and several rooms, visitors will have access to the Igreja do Carmo, the silver and crystal collection of the Order of Carmo and the catacombs.
