The Ponta Negra Lighthouse is a lighthouse located next to the cliffs of the Ponta Negra promontory, in the municipality of Vila do Corvo, on the Portuguese island of Corvo, in the Azores archipelago.

History
Agrarian view of Ponta Negra, including windmills and the old metal tower and shed on the edge of Ponta Negra
In 1955, work began on modernizing the lighting. In May 1956, the new light was inaugurated, this time using a fourth order dioptric light, in double bugle groups, with a range of 15 miles (24 km).
Its power source was changed in February 1987 to photovoltaic panels and converted to a solar panel-battery backup system in the first decade of the 21st century.
Architecture This lighthouse is located on the cliff of the Ponta Negra promontory, on the south coast of Corvo (west of the port of Boqueirão) next to the traditional windmills; it is on the edge of the Caminho dos Moinhos next to the westernmost windmill of the group.
Originally, the illuminator tower was a 6 meters (20 ft) high iron structure with a small hut-like metal annex, painted red. The modern building consists of a lighthouse mounted on a hexagonal tower, built in reinforced concrete. The small tower is 3 meters (9.8 ft) tall and the current light is 23 meters (75 ft) above sea level, providing a 6 mile (9.7 km) range of view using a single white beacon with a five second interval.
