The population of the neighborhood included in the Union of Parishes of Algés, Linda-a-Velha and Cruz Quebrada-Dafundo waited 13 years for the work.
The first stone of the temple, which will be dedicated to the Holy Trinity, was laid on June 1, 2002. Work took a while to start, first the pastoral center was built (in operation since 2008) and the church took shape but the works stopped in 2010, with the skeleton tower, and were only finished in 2015.

They are smooth and simple glasses, without the traditional designs that evoke scenes from the Bible. Between the altar and the stained glass window, a panel inspired by the work of the Russian painter Andrei Rublev was placed, which represents the three divine characters - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - to which the temple will be dedicated this afternoon. The ceremony was conducted by the Cardinal Patriarch of Lisbon, D. Manuel Clemente.
