The Church of Nossa Senhora da Luz is a Portuguese Catholic temple located in Luz, in the municipality of Santa Cruz da Graciosa, on the island of Graciosa, in the Azores archipelago.

The current temple of Nossa Senhora da Luz, which was blessed on the 6th of January 1738, was built to replace a primitive church, which dated from the beginning of the 16th century and which had been destroyed by the seismic crisis of 1717 and again by the earthquake of 13th of June 1730. This primitive temple is referenced in the sixth book of “Saudades da terra” by Gaspar Frutuoso.
Since that area of the island is subject to violent seismicity, the church was repaired several times, the last one after the 1980 earthquake, which severely affected the parish.

The first temple dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Luz existing in this locality was a hermitage whose construction date is located between the year 1534 and the year 1589. on the island.
Despite the great earthquake of 1730 leaving this Church in ruins, Mass continued to be said in this temple until 1737. Its reconstruction ended around 1745.

In this temple there is an image of Nossa Senhora da Luz, one of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, one of Santo António, one of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, one of São José, one of Nossa Senhora de Fátima, one of São Miguel Archangel, one of Santo Antão, one of Santa Filomena, one of Nossa Senhora do Carmo, one of Santa Bárbara, one of Santa Teresinha and one of São Luís de Gonzaga.
