Chef José Cordeiro found the location in Marina de Oeiras for the new Charkoal restaurant, which occupies the former Peter’s Café. The basis of the menu is Portuguese cuisine — with several dishes cooked over charcoal —, although there are some exceptions.

Choose from a menu where you can find starters such as Charkoal-style strawberry gazpacho, Charkoal-style fish soup, old-style Portuguese roasted pepper salad, old-style Portuguese octopus salad in green sauce, an avocado dish with shrimp and fresh tomato, fresh tuna ceviche, traditional laminated sausages board, or veal carpaccio, arugula, asparagus and orange and ginger vinaigrette.
For the main dish you can choose, for example, a fish triology kebab with fried potatoes and vegetables of the day, grilled cod with fried potatoes and greens, grilled ribs, grilled mixed meats, charcoal chicken.

Other specialties are prawns in cayenne pepper sauce with grilled vegetables, Portuguese-style chipped cod, shrimp linguini with tomato sauce and fresh fennel, spaghetti carbonara and Portuguese-style steak. Some of these dishes also exist in mini versions — designed for kids.
You can also opt for a lighter meal to have room for a good dessert menu,
The space is 95 square meters inside and has a terrace overlooking the marina and the sea. Inside Charkoal there is room for 75 people to eat and the terrace has capacity for 180 people.
