Located in a historic space (former weapons factory founded by King D. Manuel I) and idyllic, it takes any visitor to a moment of pure relaxation through a walk around the old tank or through the various gardens with waterfalls and a children's park.
With this romantic atmosphere and inspiration from delicious Portuguese cuisine, with a homely touch, it is possible to taste the best dishes, such as the famous Terracotta, Manelito or Mariazinha.

The old factory annex was completely transformed into a welcoming and romantic space. It maintains the open space, but full of simple details that make a difference in the decor. But it’s not just the atmosphere that makes a restaurant. And Maria Pimenta has delicious dishes that suit the Portuguese palate.
To start the meal, try the fish soup, standard peppers or farinheira rolled in egg. Then, try fish with roast cod, fried cuttlefish or octopus à lagareiro.

The main room of the space has a well-stocked buffet. For meat fans there are black pork secretions, pork tenderloins or chunks of bull sirloin. Maria Pimenta also has an all-you-can-eat buffet for lunch from Monday to Friday and at the weekend they serve lunch and dinner. The buffet is well filled with Portuguese cuisine, it also includes a table of cheeses, sausages and savory snacks; simple and composed salads, and desserts.
As it has a capacity for 180 people, you can schedule events or group dinners. The terrace is also a perfect place to have a meal, while enjoying the grounds of the Fábrica da Pólvora de Barcarena.
It offers free parking.
