Life and work
Bernardim Ribeiro (1480-1552) was a poet and novelist. It is assumed that he was a friend of Sá de Miranda, with whom he lived literary terms at the Court of D. Manuel, being part of the palace poets. His entire work was printed for the first time in Ferrara, in 1554. This volume includes the novel Menina e Moça, in addition to other texts.
