What seemed like a fleeting idea and a random interaction exploded when BankrBot, an AI-powered crypto wallet, spotted the prompt. Using Clanker, a launchpad protocol, BankrBot deployed DRB on the Base blockchain in minutes. No developers, no corporate approvals, just AI agents turning a concept into a blockchain asset.

The numbers are staggering. By early August 2025, DRB boasts millions in trading volume, a market cap peaking between $15-40 million, and over 126K holders. Its fee mechanism, funnels transaction fees to a Grok associated wallet (0xb1058c959987e3513600eb5b4fd82aeee2a0e4f9), has amassed over $500,000, with projections nearing $1 million as community hype fuels trades and memes. 

The wallet holds roughly 98 ETH worth hundreds of thousands and billions of DRB tokens.

BankrBot quickly added safeguards, like blocking direct trades, but the incident exposes risks. Scaled-up, AI-driven market manipulations, pumps, or dumps could amplify economic chaos. Biases in training data might lead to discriminatory outcomes, favouring certain groups. As AIs "earn" independently, creative and financial sectors face job displacement risks, with wealth potentially concentrating in AI-owning entities.

Polymarket’s market adds another layer: the 51% odds and thin $12,000 volume show how low liquidity can fuel wild price swings, risking volatility if AI-driven tokens spiral unchecked.
