Bored Ape Kennel Club (BAKC) is a collection of 10,000 unique NFT dogs that have been created by the developers behind Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Yuga Labs. BAYC has been a pioneering NFT project that, without much utility, has developed into a thriving community. After the success of BAYC and the affiliated Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC), Yuga Labs decided to create furry companions for all BAYC owners.
Every dog in the kennel club is unique and programmatically-generated from over 170 possible traits. Some traits are rarer than others.
Bored Ape Kennel Club: Dog Companions for every Bored Ape NFT, the BAYC team decided that everyone loves dogs, and that they would be the most suitable companions for the Bored Apes.
It gets lonely in the swamp sometimes. That’s why every ape should have a four-legged companion. To curl up at your feet. To bring you a beer. To fire a missile launcher at that bastard Jimmy the Monkey.
That’s why we’ve started the Bored Ape Kennel Club, and why we’re offering up a dog NFT for adoption to every single member of the BAYC — for free (you only pay gas).

Therefore all 40,000 apes will need a dog where there are only 9600 dogs a very limited supply. that economies of scale will come into play as the game commences.
