Well boys and girls, it’s that time of month -- the crypto markets are rekt.
The analysts and I have been working on creating a list of +EV trades -- but the beast that is cyclical volatility has reared it’s ugly head and left our positions … swamped.
With that being said, we are doing great! (positivity is powerful)
I want to take this opportunity to update the team, and the world -- with our intentions.
This is a DAO and should be managed as such. For that reason we are going to be changing some things. Let me explain why I came to this decision.
I’ve always struggled with scaling early stage organizations. It seems I hit a wall where we are pre-revenue (not so much in this case) and in order to scale we need to bring on additional staff. As run rate increases, so do my levels of anxiety -- I struggle to make that next key hire out of fear of failure. So, in order to mitigate this issue I’ve decide to make a substantial change in the function of our organization -- we’re going to be a DAO … lol
What I mean by this, is, instead of paying people fixed salaries, we will use a revenue share model to determine pay. It is the most fair, in my opinion, and it allows us to theoretically operate indefinitely as we progress. I will, in the next few days, create a pay scale for the organization in the form of : role = % revenue(after I submit it, you will be able to share your own opinion and we will take the aggregate of everyone’s vote).
Additional notes : we are bringing on an accountant / bookkeeper. Another one of my neuroses is a dread of accounting -- so in this case I will delegate the task and run far, far away -- until I must return for bi-weekly analysis. This will allow us to track our weekly or bi-weekly revenue AND help us determine the efficacy of our trades.
Another thing I want to share with you all is the overall mission of this project : I had intentionally chosen to withhold this information as I wanted to leave it as a surprise -- and let this day be that surprise.
My goal is to retire you.
Huh?
Literally. I want to create an organization that creates so much profits that the individuals who work in it are able to retire after a short period of time. Most businesses expect their employees work 40 years and then receive a pension … my goal is 18 months.
Whatt???
That’s crazy … I know. But I think it’s possible. Let me explain further -- when I mean retire, I mean have a sustainable source of passive income that covers your base living expenses. We’re not talking lambos and mansions, but rather UBI (universal basic income) to the point that you can pursue your goals and dreams without having to worry about the drudgery of short term employment. In addition, we aim to provide low cost loans so that you can : gain further education, start a business, buy property, etc.
Ultimately, we are a philanthropic organization disguised as a gaming guild.
So… how the heck are we going to pull this off?
Well, first off : we need to get funded. As “depressing” as the current market state is for our portfolio, it also has created the perfect buying opportunity with a ton of AAA projects available at 50% of their normal value. We are going to be focusing on that in the next few weeks.
Additionally, we are going to leverage our research and social media teams to create additional streams of revenue. This has been a part of my diabolical :P plan all along -- but let me share it with you now. Our success as a guild is predicated on our ability to discover and analyze new games. We’re competing against the market, betting that we can choose winners better than average. If we can accomplish this, which I’m very confident we can, why not leverage this knowledge in multiple ways? So, to give us some recurring revenue AND expand our brands reach, we are going to launch …
a paid newsletter.

Lol … so it might not be revolutionary, but it’s definitely functional, and when done right, very profitable.
To do this we are going to start by (welcoming suggestions as well)
converting our game reviews into short format videos (90 seconds or less)
These will get cross posted onto
Tiktok
IG Reels
Youtube Shorts
With enough content we can create an empire of entertainment, and in doing so, position ourselves as a market experts. I plan on offering a 1 month free trial to our newsletter, and, if everything works according to plan, generating massive amounts of recurring revenue with it.
Note to everyone : we are aiming to build a $100 million market cap business. Please, please, please keep this in mind when you are doing your work. We need to exude a combination of professionalism, lolz and excitement (it is the crypto world). We can do this, it has been done (YGG), we simply have to continue to do good work, day after day, week after week.
So, with that being said, let me summarize this manifesto :
We are going full DAO. We are going to switch our pay scale over to a revenue share model and will vote on how pay will be distributed.
I want you to quit your jobs. The goal of this organization is to provide financial freedom to those who work with us. We are aiming for 18 months until you retire. Maybe it will be more, maybe it will be less. As you contribute you will earn DAO tokens, which provide recurring income vis a vi our profits. More on this later
We’re going to be the Barstool Sports of Crypto Gaming. Why not? If El Prez can do it, why can’t we? We are creating a large amount of knowledge through our research. Not only can we capitalize on our knowledge gain via a newsletter (or some other subscription model), an expansive social media following will allow us to create partnerships with up and coming games (free NFTs or paid sponsors)
It’s a lofty goal -- I know … and to be honest, I don’t know if we will accomplish what we’re setting out to do … but what I do know is that it is possible AND, that if we even come close to achieving these things we will make a positive impact (and most likely acquire new skills, experience and relationships that will benefit us far into the future). I’ve made up my mind -- so I’m stepping up the plate and going to swing for the fences. Will you?
PS: Solana is currently having a hackathon -- we’re currently ~3 weeks behind our competition with just over one week left to submit a project. Let’s get busy.
