MetricsDAO’s mission is to empower analytical minds and enable blockchains and protocols to succeed. We have been working hard towards this mission and we want to take things to the next level. In order to do so, we need DAOplomats.

But what is a DAOplomat anyway?

DAOplomats are envoys from one DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) to another DAO. They build relationships with communities who share the same values, and whose mission and vision could benefit from said partnership. This entails facilitating the delivery of mutually beneficial value to other communities.

These people are essential to DAOs, especially service DAOs, which seek to deliver value to other communities and organizations in the space. DAOplomats take on the role of:

• Impact Amplifiers

  • They maximize the impact of their home community by extending its reach.

• Community Connectors

  • As they extend the reach of their home communities, they also establish lasting partnerships with other communities allowing for deep collaborations.

• Opportunity Seekers

  • With the relationships they have established, it becomes easier for the home community to source opportunities with DAOplomats being the main conduit.

• Focus Generators

  • With opportunities coming in and the value delivery being taken care of by the DAOplomats, other members of the DAO are able to focus on what they are most passionate about and where they are needed the most to allow the DAO to deliver the most value.

DAOplomats ensure that this flywheel of consistent impact delivery and opportunity creation keeps running by building community connections within the ecosystem.

Now why does MetricsDAO need DAOplomats?

It is important to remember that like any Service DAO, MetricsDAO’s goal is to deliver value to other organizations in the space in order to push the growth of the ecosystem. With this in mind it becomes easy to see why it needs DAOplomats.

To fulfill its mission, MetricsDAO needs to consistently deliver high quality analytics solutions to our partners as generated by our community. An example of the impact we have delivered is from our partnership with Harmony. They have recently updated their native block explorer with the data and metrics provided by our Data Curation team.

They have also found tremendous value in this dashboard built by the team which contains metrics on Harmony, DeFi Kingdoms, and Tranquil Finance.

In addition to these, we have run multiple successful bounty programs around Uniswap, Olympus, Harmony, and Convex.

Now imagine this type of impact amplified to more blockchains and protocols. DAOplomats are  at the center of delivering these solutions by seeking out the right communities and establishing deep relationships with them.

MetricsDAO is built on the concept of a porous organization, structured around pods that anyone can contribute to and then level up to take on a leadership role. These pods are comprised of high-impact members who are at their best when they focus on what they are passionate about. DAOplomats enable these pods to focus on their work and support them by coordinating with other organizations on value generating projects.

As MetricDAO scales in the coming season, DAOplomats will play a central role in ensuring we keep delivering on our mission.
