By serendipity, I joined an Internet company as a full-time illustrator. It's an alumni company called SuperSchedule. Before I officially joined the team, I reached a cooperation with them by taking orders. Later, they asked me if I had the intention to be a full-time illustrator. Wanting to blend in with the crowd, I quickly agreed, and the next day I packed my bags and left for Guangzhou. I took the bus in the morning and arrived in Guangzhou at noon. I went straight to the company for the interview. Many decisions are about following your heart and then acting quickly. At that time, what I needed was not stability, but rich experience. Therefore, "Just do it" became the guidance buried deep in my heart. In my young company, I learned a lot of new things and made a lot of friends.

After nine months on the job, there was still a flutter inside. I learned about volunteer travel from the Internet. This way of experiencing a new life without spending a lot of money is very attractive to me, so I decided to follow my heart and go to a faraway place to pursue my dream. After the volunteer trip in Yunnan, I have more courage to choose my favorite lifestyle. Some friends asked me if I could teach painting, but I didn't have the money to rent a space at that time, so I renovated the rented house, whitewashed the walls, bought some plants, painted and hung pictures, and spent about 2,000 yuan to complete the space. Classes are scheduled for the weekend. In this way, I was able to work eight days a month and earn 30,000 yuan a month. After the improvement of the environment, my life became more disciplined, I stopped settling and idling, began to cook for myself, used my spare time to draw pictures, and once again began to find my personal style.

I read the works of foreign illustrators on Behance, a design website, to understand the style of fashion illustration. The simplicity, fashion and individuality of the pieces appealed to me. I started learning about fashion brands, watching videos of shows and backstage photos. It was then that I created my first fashion illustration while listening to music. Later, I created more works of the same type. One of my representative paintings is a portrait of the Queen. Many people use it as their head. Every now and then a friend sends in a picture saying "I saw your painting again". I posted my works from this period on my website, and I put a lot of effort into presenting my works, such as making the page display more refined, adding personal logos and signatures, etc. By searching keywords, I knew about vertical fashion design forum websites such as "Threading the needle", which also accept submissions. Compared with Cool website, hand-drawn works on such platforms are easier to be exposed and recommended. Every time I upload works, they can be popular and even recommended on the home page for many times. I suggest you to release your works on multiple platforms in the early stage, find a "main battlefield", and preferably become the top several creators of this "main battlefield".
