We are excited to launch Tiers on Mode trade, enabling MODE holders to get fees as low as 0% Maker fees by simply staking $MODE. This launch furthers our mission to create the best environment for humans and AIs to trade.
There are 6 Tiers in total. Each Tier comes with reduced fees, so the higher your Tier the more you save.
You can unlock a Tier in two different ways:
Staking Mode Tokens: The more $MODE tokens you stake, the higher the Tier you qualify for.
Trading Volume: Active traders unlock higher Tiers by reaching 30 day trading milestones.
This means you can climb the Tiers whether you’re a long-term Mode holder, a high-volume trader or both. Tiers can be found by navigating to “portfolio”, then “Fee Tiers” on Mode Trade.
What happens if your trading volume puts you in one Tier, but your staked MODE puts you in another?
You always qualify for the highest Tier you meet; whether through trading volume or staked MODE.
Staked Mode = stable Tier qualification (as long as tokens are staked)
Volume = dynamic Tier qualification (can move up or down as your 30D volume changes)
How Volume-Based Tiering Works:
Tiers are based on your rolling 30-day trading volume.
That means the system is always looking back at the past 30 days of activity.
If at any point your 30D trading volume drops below the threshold of your current Tier, you’ll automatically fall into the highest Tier you still qualify for (either from volume or staked MODE).
Example:
You traded $6M last month, which put you in Tier 3.
But in the new 30-day window, your rolling volume falls to $2M.
Since $2M is under the Tier 3 minimum ($2.5M), you would fall back to Tier 2, unless your MODE holdings qualify you for a higher Tier.
Lower Fees: Higher Tiers = lower trading fees.
Flexible Paths: You choose how to qualify; by holding or trading.
Fair & Transparent: Everyone can see exactly how the system works.
