Howdy folks. Got a few people asking in our Plebs discord how to avoid losing your very precious Ether with failed transactions, whether that’s minting, swapping, or any other interactions.
“plebs help plebs”
Frontrunning protection - we get to avoid bots that try to scalp our swaps/trades
Priority in blocks - we’re mined at the top of blocks, letting you get confirmed faster than normal transactions being sent to the main mempool
No failed transactions - transaction only mined if it goes through, no losing gas fees!
What you’re probably used to seeing when doing crypto stuff on your pc is MetaMask, and being plugged into the Ethereum Mainnet for whatever you’re up to:

What we’ll be doing is using the Flashbots RPC to send our transactions through, instead of the normal, public, Ethereum Mainnet that everyone is usually connected to.
Note - you don’t have to buy anything, transfer any funds, or do anything like that. All you’re doing is switching your ‘network’ and telling MetaMask who to direct your transaction towards.
Open your MetaMask extension, and click on the top where you see ‘Ethereum Mainnet’ and select ‘Custom RPC’
Add ‘Flashbots RPC’ as the Network Name
Add https://rpc.flashbots.net as the RPC URL
Set the Chain ID as 1. MetaMask might tell you it’s already being used but you can ignore that
Set your currency as ETH
Click Save
And just like that, you’ve got yourself linked up to the Flashbots Protection RPC. Keep in mind, this is still the Ethereum Mainnet, all you’re doing is using a specific node to get your transactions confirmed, instead of submitting it to the open, public mempool where the bots and miners are all competing.
Hope this helps!
