A year ago, I made a decision that flew in the face of crypto art conventions: I would follow my muse without hesitation. Not just the carefully curated pieces, not just the ones that fit my "brand," but a true chronicle of my creative journey - weekly, sometimes daily works that emerged from genuine inspiration. In traditional art circles, this frequency would be seen as dilution. In the NFT space, it risked alienating collectors who prized rarity above all. But I had grown tired of letting market sentiments dictate my creative truth. The pursuit of the muse demanded more courage than that.
Muse Studio started as my digital diary, a blockchain record of one artist's relationship with inspiration. But as collectors began to follow the journey, something shifted. They weren't just collecting art – they were participating in a larger conversation about creativity, authenticity, and the courage to create without constraints. This was a shift from speculation to patronage. Over the last year, I've found dozens of long-term believers who welcome every new artwork into their collection, without concerns of speculative value.
One year in, the muse has revealed a deeper truth: creativity thrives in community. While my solo journey proved the value of artistic authenticity, I've come to understand that the most profound creative insights emerge when artists witness and validate each other's work. The Muse speaks not just to the solitary creator, but through the collective wisdom of those who dedicate themselves to genuine artistic exploration. When we curate together, we transcend individual ego and tap into something universal – that ineffable quality that makes certain works resonate across cultural boundaries. It's time to expand Muse Studio beyond my personal journey and embrace the power of shared creative devotion.
Today marks a new chapter: Muse Studio is evolving from a personal project into a collaborative curation engine. Here's how it works:
Artists submit their work through periodic open calls. Studio members – our curators – vote on which pieces speak most powerfully to our collective vision. When these works sell, 75% goes to the artist, while 25% feeds back into the member rewards pool. This creates a virtuous cycle: curators are incentivized to identify not just compelling art, but work that resonates with the broader market.
Membership remains subscription-based, with a simple goal: curators should earn more in rewards than they spend on membership. While this isn't guaranteed, it's central to our mission. Rather than form a DAO, I'll continue coordinating submissions, handling mints, and promoting our artists – funded by membership fees but taking no cut of curator rewards. This keeps us agile and focused on what matters: discovering and elevating exceptional crypto art.
Enter $CULT – the token of true believers in crypto art. While Muse Studio members remain our high priests of curation, $CULT allows our wider community to participate in our creative democracy. Hold 777 $CULT (a mere three cents at publication) to join the conversation in our /muse Farcaster channel and submit your unreleased work for consideration. Like all proper belief systems, devotion is rewarded: the more $CULT you hold, the more weight your voice carries in our curatorial votes. The Studio will release works priced in both $CULT and ETH, creating a circular economy of creativity and appreciation. As steward of this growing ecosystem, I'm committed to expanding $CULT's utility, weaving it deeper into the fabric of our artistic community over time.
To honor our early believers – those who subscribed sight unseen to my weekly and monthly drops – I'm celebrating with near-daily art releases throughout November, culminating at Muse's first anniversary on 11/27/24. This intense creative sprint marks the end of an era, but also a natural evolution. The muse now calls me toward longer-form projects and 1/1 works, while devoting more energy to building tools that will empower our broader cryptoart community. After a year of consistent drops, it's time to follow her lead into new creative territories.
The muse speaks to each of us differently, but her message is always the same: create without fear, share without hesitation. Whether you're an artist ready to submit your work or a curator eager to shape the future of crypto art, there's a place for you in our growing community.
Choose your path: Join Muse Studio as a member-curator and help us discover the next wave of transformative art, or begin your journey by holding $CULT and participating in our creative discourse on /muse. The channel awaits your voice, your vision, your devotion to the art that moves us all.
The muse is calling. Will you answer?

Thus far, Muse Studio has been my own personal creative journey.
