We often do not cherish something until it is gone. It is only after we have had to endure the harsh realities of being homeless when we are grateful for a warm home and a roof over our head. It is only when we are starving do we value the abundance of food. It is only when we are dying of thirst when we value water.

This is also true for people in our lives. We take for granted people in our lives until they’re gone.

We have so much abundance that we are blind to what we have. So let us today begin to cherish everything and everyone. For in an instant, they can be taken away from us.
