Protocol Interview: Layer N
Intro: I reached out to the Layer-N team on discord and was able to get some answers about the protocol. I was curious since they seemed to be doing something different in the rollup space. These are their answers — feel free to join their discord, they seem open to interaction and have a good community.1. What are the unique features of Layer N? Layer Ns unique features come with the ability to create custom VMs that are dedicated to the application you are building. For example, NordVM, the...

Hope you enjoy, I’m always open to feedback.OdysseyPiece: “Odyssey” Link This piece is dream-like and colorful. It makes me wonder what it would be like to ride in an i...

Hi, and welcome to the newest issue of NFT Matrix, where I present NFT Artists’ work. There is no presumption or judgement here, only exposure. The artist I am presenting is Steve Pikelny. Smart and hilarious is how I would describe their work. I look at a couple of the artist’s pieces from their various platforms and provide my feelings and thoughts. Hope you enjoy, I’m always open to feedback.

Piece: “Ripple” Link
NFTMatrix: This isn’t an NFT, but thought it was very fun. You start with a blank screen, and then click, creating digital ripples. Eventually the screen gets overwhelmed with digital noise. Great concept.

Piece: “Pointers” Link
Artist: “Edition of 100 works”
NFTMatrix: This collection is very in-fashion for nft collectors; generative art with colors and shapes. I like this one since it reminds me of vector math or thermo-fluid dynamics, which I remember being fun to learn (good teachers are important). I could see them being great record album cover art as well.
Piece: “Uncirculated Fake Internet Money” Link

NFT Matrix: I found Stevie P after I bought the Zora zine. Reminds me of reading my cousin’s zines from the early 2000s. I love the fake scammy website, and think it resonates with the part of nfts/crypto which makes me frustrated. But I love that he makes space to make fun of it (and does an excellent job). Another good one is his “Money Making Opportunity” , Cold Hard Cash, and Fake Internet Money.
Well, I hope you enjoyed this brief introduction to the artist! Find their links here.
