When people ask us where we got the idea for Hats Protocol, I often share the link to the internal project that Spencer and I worked on at Raid Guild called "Availability and Commitments." Spencer had been working on onchain commitment mechanism design for a while, and we really got to go deep on it as part of the Token Talk team.
