Keeping Nodle running smoothly means keeping up with Android’s latest changes. Over the past few weeks, some users have noticed notifications or small updates, so let’s clarify what’s new and how it affects your everyday experience.
Android is now stricter about letting apps like Nodle run foreground and background services without user interaction. After six hours, the system pauses these services to save battery and protect privacy. If you’re wondering why Nodle doesn’t reconnect automatically, it’s because Google no longer allows apps to restart themselves after this timeout. If we tried to bypass these rules, the app could be blocked from the Play Store.

If Nodle’s been in the background for a while, you’ll see a notification asking you to open the app so it can keep working. Just opening the app and switching screens resets the timer, keeps Bluetooth active, and ensures you’re still earning and connected. Miss this window and go past six hours? Just restart the app and your network mission to get things back on track. Nodle helps with regular reminders to open the app before any interruption. It’s not ideal but it’s the only method Google allows, and device behavior might differ with brand or settings. Checking inside the app is always the safest bet.

Google also rolled out a new technical requirement for Android 15 and above: all apps now need to support a larger, 16 KB memory page size. It’s a bit technical, but it ensures our apps run faster and prepare for future Android devices.
🏗 We rebuilt and updated Nodle and Click to comply with these new standards, which was essential to keep rolling out updates from November 1, 2025.
🧹 Because our apps and network have been developed since 2017, this was a chance to clean up old code. That cleanup made our apps more efficient and gave Nodle and Click a consistent look and feel, whether you use Android or iOS.
🏁 All updates hit Google’s requirements and our apps remain Play Store-approved.
⏳ Nodle regularly, especially if prompted. Using the app before the six-hour timeout keeps everything running.
⌛ If you miss it, restart the app for a fresh network connection. These updates mean better privacy, security and future-proof apps - no matter your device.
💡 The rebuild makes Nodle faster, more reliable and easier to use across platforms.
Thanks for your patience while we made these improvements, and for your ongoing support. We’re excited about what’s ahead and are focused on bringing new features to Nodle soon.
