Announcing the Creation of the Nodle DAO: A New Era of Inclusive Decentralized Governance
The Nodle Foundation is excited to announce the launch of the Nodle DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization), marking a major step toward decentralizing the Nodle Network and placing its future directly in the hands of its community. The creation of the Nodle DAO introduces a structured framework of Nodle Governance Proposals (NGPs), that anyone with a smartphone can vote on. These proposals will allow the community to have a say in the network’s development, ensuring that its direction re...

Why decentralized messaging matters more than everIn today’s ever-shifting digital terrain, the struggle for uncensored, verifiable communication is at the heart of personal sovereignty. Nodle has been working on XMTP integration into their apps for months. In June, we released the public beta on iOS, allowing users to connect privately and without a middleman. This experience is now live on Android, enabling our global user base to benefit from private and encrypted chat. This launch of Nodl...

It's live! Voting on the future of the Nodle Network has begun and any of the more than 1 million NODL holders can take part in the vote to create the Nodle DAO.
Go to the snapshot.box to vote now using the Nodle app.
The Nodle DAO was created to further decentralise the Nodle network and put control of the network in the hands of its users. By making it easy for anyone to vote with their phone, the network aims to have one of the highest voter turnouts of any network.
Starting with WalletConnect in and the Nodle app and soon in-app voting, anyone with enough NODL to pay the gas transaction fee (around 2 cents USD) can take part in the vote to create the DAO.

To learn more about the proposal see the Nodle Governance Proposal (NGP) 001 blog post:
https://mirror.xyz/nodle.eth/1G-1KiZxLMgNTnDdhu4Yjg9k7MAaFbMxUWjVsI12RLQ
And the full governance proposal is hosted on Github and available for comment in Github discussions.
It’s simple. First make sure you update your Nodle App to the latest version.
Then open the proposal on another computer (or smartphone), so you can login with your smartphone: https://snapshot.box/#/s:nodle.eth/proposal/0x391dd5d8b7b142c0a1bc2b3edec202f05998deab84965f1f5eeebbfc500ba9e6 and connect with WalletConnect to the Nodle App.

At the moment, governance voting with the Nodle app is only supported on the desktop (meaning you have to use your phone with the Nodle app to vote). The team is working hard to support in-app voting so that anyone with a smartphone, wherever they are in the world, can vote.
Decentralised governance is critical to the security and longevity of any network. In a world where most applications and systems are controlled by a few key providers, putting Nodle in the hands of all NODL holders makes the network more resilient and durable.
By putting governance in the hands of everyday NODL holders, the future of networks is truly in your hands.
Every vote counts and this is just the beginning of the next era!
