We’ve been building Noon with one goal in mind: creating a more intelligent, more fair stablecoin. Today, we are taking a big step toward that future. We are opening the doors of our Beta to the public on January 27th, and we couldn’t be more excited to invite you to join us on this journey.
Here’s what this means for you, for us, why we’ve been keeping things small so far, and why now is the perfect time to jump in.
The Public Beta is our way of opening Noon to the world while staying true to our values. It’s for early users who believe in what we’re building and want to join us close to our inception. This is your chance to help shape the future of Noon, refine our product, and contribute to create something extraordinary.
Let’s be real: everything won’t be perfect. Of course, the core essentials—safety of funds and stability of strategies—have been rigorously tested. But the finer details, like UX/UI and expanding partnerships, will evolve during this phase.
That’s the beauty of a public beta: we’re building with you, not just for you. We didn’t want to build something fully formed in our ivory tower, and only then expose it to the real world. No, instead we adopted the approach of building a strong, robust foundation, and then putting it out in the wild for our users to interact with. We think that together, we can build Noon to be much better than we could by ourselves.
We have mentioned how fairness is important to us - and we’ve done everything in our power to ensure that Noon is built as fairly as possible. One of the things we’ve seen often in this space is how well-connected insiders often get access to preferential terms, be it in early investment rounds, or in early liquidity deals.
So, during our private beta, we decided to do things differently:
We politely shut down funding conversations with some of the biggest funds in web3. While we never initiated any conversations with investors, we were flattered that some of the biggest names in the space took the time to reach out to discuss investment in Noon. But we never deviated from our user-centric values, and we made it very clear that our protocol would eschew fundraising from and token allocations to investors, so we could maximise our users’ governance token allocation.
We focused our private beta on our product, not our TVL. We also were approached by high-networth individuals and funds to deploy into our private beta - but we turned many of them away. Largely because we wanted to focus on building our product, but also partially because we wanted to give everyone a shot at deploying capital (and earning governance tokens rewards) while Noon’s TVL remains relatively low, and the incremental dollar deployed would earn more.
In sum, we wanted to make sure early adopters could meaningfully contribute—and benefit—by being first. Your funds, you first!
Here are more details as to why we adopted this approach:
We want to reward our early users with $NOON governance tokens (TGE: ~Q2 2025) that reflect their contributions.
The more you deploy into Noon, the more points and governance tokens you’ll earn. The earlier you deploy, the larger this proportion will be, and the more rewards you receive.
We believe governance should be fair and widely distributed.
If we allowed massive amounts of TVL during our private beta, insiders would dominate the governance token holdings. That’s not the future we’re building.
Imagine this: if there were already a billion dollars deployed, and a retail user joined with $10,000, they wouldn’t earn many governance tokens.
Not much upside, not much to say.
That’s why we kept the private beta small—so when the Public Beta opens, everyone has an equal chance to benefit, and to make an impact.
By keeping our private beta focused and opening the Public Beta early, we are making sure anyone can join the party, or the Noon Saloon as we like to call it**.**
From day one, maximising value to our users has been our north star. That’s why we’re taking this step now. The sooner we open up and build with you, the better our product will become.
