I wrote these thoughts and/or ideas on my mobile phone immediately after waking up to what was a bad vivid dream. I drew my inspiration to write and put my thoughts on chain from Gabagool.eth and Gokhan.eth. Both Gabagool and Gokhan have no affiliation with me, however, I do own Gabagool’s Writing Token and Gokhan’s Anti-commune NFT as a supporter of both experimental projects.
So on to my dream & thoughts, I had a vivid dream where one of my fears of being arrested came true. In the dream, I was arrested for being in possession of illegal drugs. I was suddenly detained and taken into a large holding cell (almost field-like) with a number of detainees/prisoners seated on wooden made crates. In the dream I was scared, I shared a tear and truly believed that I was arrested. My world ended within the boundaries of the prison-like holding cell walls. In my mind that was the end of my world up until I woke up and realized that I was dreaming.
Could this dream or any other vivid dream be proof that life as we leave or experience it is just a simulation in one's mind?
The only difference between the *dream* (simulation) and the *real world* (simulation) is that one can automatically exit the dream simulation when one wakes up but there is no way to exit the real-world simulation, at least from what I know. Maybe “death” or some sort of awakening is the exit from the *real world* simulation, an exit from the matrix?
The above experience made me posit that a vivid dream or any other dream is just another life simulation in one's mind. While dreaming you leave in a simulation as if it’s real, to the mind the dream (events leaved) is real, it is your reality while dreaming. One automatically snaps out of the simulation when they wake up and realize it was a dream (simulation).
So is it possible that how we experience life (our fears, limitations, hopes and dreams) is a consequence of our *real world* simulation? This simulation is specific to each person hence we all have a different world view of life, different perceived barriers etc.
You may be wondering what my point is, perhaps for some what I am saying here is nothing new. I am not sure either, but for the first time the dream I had truly made me think that we may be leaving in a simulation or a simulated life. As I have already pointed out the obvious, that is while dreaming I truly believed that the dream was my real life.
Getting back to what is my point. If the "real world" life is a simulation how can one exit the simulation?
In a dream simulation, the exit is automatic when you wake up. Some people who may have a perfect real-world life (simulation) may not want to exit that simulation. This would be similar to someone having a dream where all their desires are met, no one would want that perfect dream (simulation) to end. However, there are people whose "real world" life (simulation) is like a bad dream. These people would want to exit the simulation or at least figure out how they can overcome some of the barriers imposed by the simulation. The barriers imposed by the simulation may be fear, and lack of belief amongst others that one has in their own mind which prevents them from achieving whatever it is that they want to achieve or want to be.
I wish I could figure out the simulation so that I can one day leave my best life, I do not necessarily wish to exit the real-world life simulation. I wonder if anyone has figured out the code of the Matrix. These are just my thoughts after waking up to a bad dream and feeling the relief that it was all just a bad dream.

I am not a professional writer/artist/scientist/religious person, this article is simply me trying to distil and share the thoughts that I had after waking up to what was a bad dream. I am simply a curious ordinary person trying to find meaning to life and make the best of my life. As an ordinary observer, I am interested in the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain technologies, what it means for humanity and the general evolution of life. Since I drew inspiration from Gabagool.eth and Gokhan.eth, I decided to share/split a % of the collections/earnings/royalties of this article with Gabagool’s “Writing Token” NFT and Gokhan’s “Anti-Commune” experimental projects. From time to time I may share my thoughts on chain, however, this is no guarantee of any future publications.
