The Ocean Racing League has shifted racing gears into Seasons, elevating the competitive experience like never before!
Since its inception in 2022, ORL has been at the forefront of thrilling aquatic action, and this new structure takes it to the next level. Seasons currently feature the Rookie and Elite Leagues, offering weekly and seasonal prize pools, with the highly anticipated Veteran League on the horizon. This transition brings fresh opportunities for racers and coaches to shine, combining ORL’s tradition of excellence with an exciting new chapter.

Registration opens: Fridays at 10pm EST
Registration closes: Wednesdays at 10pm EST
Racing: Thursdays at 2pm EST (live-streamed in Discord)
To participate in the exhilarating competitions of the Ocean Racing League, teams are subject to registration fees based on league:
Registration fees do not include gas or racer roles.
Rookie League is designed for up-and-coming racers, with high-energy competition. Running in 5-week seasons, it features Free For All (FFA) race mode exclusively, with a maximum of 20 racers per team. T1 racers are the only competitors allowed, ensuring a level playing field for new coaches to showcase their skills. The emphasis here is on racing strategy and speed, and the winners will earn weekly and seasonal prizes based on their performance.

Race Modes and Conditions:
Race Mode: Free For All (FFA) ONLY
Race Format: Qualifying Races only, no playoffs
Racer Cap: Max 20 Racers per team
Racer Tier: T1 Racers ONLY
Coaches: Rookie Coaches ONLY
There are No Roles, No Weather, and No Endurance elements in Rookie League, ensuring that everyone competes on an even playing field where team composition matters most.

Weekly and Seasonal prize pools add an extra layer of excitement, rewarding consistent performance and smart strategies.
With weekly races providing constant action, the leaderboard plays a pivotal role in determining your placement for the week. Each race gives you the chance to refine your approach, unlock new strategies, and push yourself toward the top of the Seasonal leaderboard.

For seasoned competitors, the Elite League offers the ultimate challenge. Each season features 4 weeks of intense racing across varied race modes, followed by a 1-week playoff. With no racer caps except for race mode requirements, teams have strategic flexibility to dominate the leaderboard.
The competition is fierce, and teams will need to utilize every available strategy to secure weekly wins and position themselves at the top of the seasonal leaderboard. It’s all about adapting to the shifting dynamics of race modes and outsmarting rivals to claim weekly victories and secure a top spot for the seasonal crown.
In the Elite League, the competition intensifies across race modes such as FFA (Free for All), Hi-Lo, Tiers, and TOTW (Trait of the Week), alongside dynamic factors like Racer Roles, Weather buffs & debuffs, and Endurance (Hydrolyte). Teams will need to adapt their strategies to the ever-changing conditions, leveraging every advantage from their racers, roles, and race mode requirements.
This season, every decision counts as teams battle through diverse race formats and conditions to secure their place in the highest divisions of playoffs!
